Dots+Loops first major concert of the year, Compulsion, is coming up fast on Friday May 19, and it's shaping up to be our most exciting show ever!
A gripping, genre-blurring ride through contemporary classical, rock and electronica, the night is headlined with an Australian exclusive set of music written for NY indie classical band Newspeak, performed by some of Australia's most exciting musicians alongside Newspeak clarinetist Eileen Mack and composer David T. Little. Joining them will be Brisbane indie-chamber heroes Nonsemble with percussionists Anna Kho and Jamee Seeto, performing Robert Davidson's electrifying "Above Ground", and Melbourne's Solstice Trio premiering works by Maja Puseljic and Pascal Le Boeuf in the group's first interstate performance! The night will end with a special vinyl-only DJ set from Software of Seagulls, with a bar open all night, and a bunch of comfy spaces to hang out with friends and enjoy the bangin' tunes.
